20 students engage in various activities for 20 days

Kathmandu, March 30, 2017: Glocal After School, a venture of Glocal Pvt. Ltd. is all set to host School Enhancement Workshop for SEE appeared students who are going to pursue their higher studies. The workshop is expected to enhance the students in the various aspects of a personality and persona that decides the growth of a person and get the insight on different areas of study including public speaking, leadership, personality development, and communication.

As part of the public speaking workshop, the students will be trained on Public Speaking by Rajesh Pandey, an expert Public Speaking Trainer, and an RJ at Radio Kantipur. The training will foster students’ commands on their every word so that they can convey their message impactfully every time. With the workshop, the participants will be able to overcome the fear of speaking in public.

The Art of Starting is the other part of the 20-days-long experience for the participants. In the workshop, the students will immerge themselves on various aspects of the entrepreneurial experience and the venture creation process, including the foundation for getting a venture started, and understanding of what it takes to be an entrepreneur. Asish Thakur, Executive Director of Glocal Pvt. Ltd. would be facilitating the workshop.

Similarly, Personality Development workshop, another part of the programme is focused on making a strong and favorable impression among others. It will provide the participants an opportunity to assess their own image and see themselves as others see them. With expert coaching, the students are expected to develop an awareness of their personal preferences and understand how these can affect their behavior in a variety of situations. Cajol Jha, Public Relations Manager at Glocal Pvt. Ltd. would be facilitating the workshop.

After SEE, it is the time they decide which field of study they will choose, and in which are they want to make career on. And it’s not so easy. So, to help students better understand about the obstacles and the background of their future probable future endeavors, they will be counselled for a 1-day-long session with a guest lecture from Rajan Shakya, CEO, KGH Group of Hotels. The session will enable the attendants to dissecting their interests, test their self-competency, brainstorming the potential field of study.

Pokhara tour would be the other attraction of the experience. Towards the end of the workshop, the participants would be taken to Pokhara for the refreshment and Youth Empowerment and Skill Development workshop. They will stay in Mt. Kailash Hotel during the tour and engage in a youth empowerment and skill workshop, take yoga class in Lakeside, enjoy boating in Phewa Lake and go for hiking at Sarangkot.

In those three days, they will be given a task to form a promotional plan for Pokhara’s tourism. They will be divided into four groups and will perform together which will help them learn team building and gain insight on Nepal’s prospect industry, Tourism.

The programme will be held from April 17-May 7.
