Kathmandu, 3rd May, 2015:Â From among the 148 teams that registered from Nepal, the top 4 teams for the Nepal final have been shortlisted in the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) CIMA Global Business Challenge 2015.
Having qualified on the basis of the quality of the reports submitted to CIMA, the top 4 teams will now make a presentation based on the same report to a panel of national judges to determine who gets to represent Nepal in the global final in Warsaw, Poland in August.
The teams to make the cut are: Team Falcons- KUSOM (Anjali Acharya, Barsha Pudasaini, Prabesh Dhakal and Sangam Dahal) Team Doers- The British College (Kalpana Pant,Angel Sharma, Priyanka Puri and Safalta Shrestha) IR Squared- Islington College (Surendra Giri, Sanaz Pokhrel, Rachana Bakhati and Raunak Chaudhary) Team Abstract- Nepal Commerce Campus (Aashish Rai, Bickey Awale, Robika Shrestha and Erosh Joshi).
According to Shristi Mishra and Sagar Satyal, country representatives for the CIMA Global Business Challenge in Nepal, it is now a challenge for the shortlisted teams to showcase their presentation skills to convince the judges about their ideas. “It will be like presenting to a board of directors but in a hall full of audience. The teams will have to showcase their ability to articulate their ideas in the most clear and convincing way possible.â€
Besides getting to represent Nepal in Poland, the winning team will also get a cash prize of NRS. 40,000. The runners up and second runners up will get cash prizes of NRS. 30,000 and NRS. 20,000 respectively. One individual will win the best speaker prize and award for the best video is also up for grabs.
The Nepal final of the Global Business Challenge 2015 will be held at Hotel Radisson on the 26th of May. The Nepal final promises to be a great platform for the top 4 teams to showcase their business acumen, impress employers and network with the invitees.
