‘Ek Chihan’ to be performed in Butwal

Butwal, February 8, 2017: The popular Nepali play ‘Ek Chihan’ is set to be performed in Butwal. This is the first time ever the play is being staged in the city.

Being organized by Sanskritik Sansthan (Naach Ghar) and co-organized by Nepalese Students’ Club, the stage-drama will be performed for five days, beginning this February 19. The performance will take place inside the hall of the Butwal Chamber of Commerce & Industry, at Haatbazar.

Ek Chihan, by the popular playwright Hridaya Chandra Singh Pradhan, interprets the life of a simple Newar family in Kathmandu facing poverty and discrimination by society. The play shows the situations and reality of people in the context of Nepal. The plot of the play delves the life of a sick and unwell poor man with family and responsibility, trying to survive in this harsh world.

A single show of the play will last for 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Ticket rates are fixed at Rs. 100 for school and college students, and Rs 200 for normal audiences.
