Kathmandu, February 24, 2019: On the festival organized by Department of the Food Technology and Quality, Entrepreneur, Biniti Gurung who is working in the field of archiving and promoting of Nepali products was selling Sisnu cake at the festival. In the two days of the event, her cake was able to attract most of the visitors.
She said that youths were more interested and curious about her cake. She added, “ Although herb Sisnu has been known to have various health benefits, we are yet to explore it’s benefits and uses. Nepali people are only habituated to the curry and soup of Sisnu but we want to introduce many items that can be made out of Sisnu.”
According to the department, about 10,000 people visited on Friday and about 25,000 visited the festival on Saturday. “ The festival is going very smoothly and the event included a large number of people.”
