Nepalgunj, 10 Jan 2015: The thick fog and cold wave in the districts of west Tarai has affected the normal life.
The cold wave in the daytime and thick fog in the evening has resulted in sudden dip in temperature.
The major towns in the west Terai including Nepalgunj, Bardiya, Tikapur, Dhangadhi and Kohalpur have not witnessed the sun for the last three days.
Likewise, the District Agricultural Development Office said that the winter crops including mustard, wheat, gram and potato were damaged due to the cold wave.
Similarly, the service seekers have not turned up in the government offices compared to the previous week while the number of cold related patients is on the rise.
Likewise, the flights to and from the western Terai districts have been either disrupted or delayed due to poor visibility. Source:RSS
