Kathmandu, September 15, 2017: An interactive e-portal has come into operation for child rights protection in Nepal from Thursday, September 14.

The online portal, www.childrights.gov.np, was rolled out amid a function organized to mark National Children’s Day by Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare and the Central Child Welfare Board (CCWB).

The e-portal includes various columns on children including Baal Aawaj (voices of children), Chautari (Forum for discussion), contact details for help, events on children, children’s news, resources, audio/visual contents, and more.

The portal seeks to be an interactive forum for child rights protection.

CCWB, a statutory central body formed to protect and promote the rights of children, will look after the portal.
