Kathmandu, December 18, 2018: Bidya Sundar Shakya, mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City(KMC), has officially announced the instigation of digital building plan on Friday at the 23rd anniversary of the metropolitan city. As soon as the online system will commence its work, people will not have to go through the bureaucratic fuss in order to secure building plan.
Shakya asserted about the introduction of digital building plan service in 2015 but it wasn’t continued due to the faulty execution. He assured that people would get the access to the services this time and the KMC is wholly concentrated on this plan. This digital building plan will minimize the physical storage needs and enhance the productivity of KMC. It plans to completely do away with the present manual building plan approval process and adopt the digital system by May 2018.
Creative Design Architect Limited, Craze Consultant, Sustainable Structure, Attic Consultant Service and Sapkota and Sons are the supporting partners in this upcoming project.
Similarly, in the program, Himalayan Bank Ltd was honored with the ‘Best Taxpayer of the Year’ award in the institution category and Sushila Devi Basnet won the award in the individual category. Five of its staff members, Ambika Khadka, Sunmaya Poudyal, Jayanti Shrestha, Ramlal Deula and Nara Bahadur Saud, were recognized for their over two decades of services to the office.
