Kathmandu, January 4, 2018: If you are interested in writing script for a movie and looking for a platform to showcase your talent, this can be the best opportunity for you. New Nepali Cinema is organizing the Third Script Writing Competition.
Anyone willing to participate in the competition must email their script to newnepalicinema@gmail.com. The script can be written in both English and Nepali and the preliminary script can be from a page to three. The deadline for the submission is 15 February 2018. Twenty-five scripts will be shortlisted for the second round and the contestants will be given time to continue their script.
The main aim of the competition is to discover and recognize the brightest new talent and original voices in storytelling from around the world. Scripts are judged by a broad variety of qualified and professional script readers, many of which are currently working professionals in the film and entertainment industry with years of experience evaluating scripts for major production companies, producers, and literary agencies of Nepal.
The whole script winner will be awarded the cash prize of 3 lakhs and the script will be turned into a full feature film. The winner will get the sole credit for the script.

Publication of top 25 selected stories: 21 Feb 2018
Script submission deadline: 31 May 2018
Winner announcement: 30 June 2018
