Taxi Put On Fire By Agitating Group

Kathmandu, April 7, 2015: A taxi in Koteswor-Balkumari this morning at 5:15 am was put in fire by the agitating group of 30-party alliance led by Unified CPN (Maoist).

The nationwide general strike today enforced by alliance is aimed to put pressure for implementing a new constitution in the spirit of consensus. The agitators scattered petrol and put aflame The taxi (Ba 1 Ja 1877) of Niraj Baniya, a local of Hetauda, was put on fire by agitators throwing petrol and flame . Baniya was returning from Tribhuvan International Airport to Lalitpur after dropping his relative.

Taxi driver Baniya said he is worried how to earn for his family after such a huge damage as it was the only source of income.
