Pokhara, January 10, 2019: A meeting of the Council of Ministers of Gandaki Province was held on January 9, 2019 to endorse the Forests and Watershed Management Policy.
According to Ram Sharan Basnet, the government’s spokesperson and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Development, the meeting concluded with the Policy that focuses on the protection of forests, maintenance of the environmental health and ways to decrease the impact of natural disasters. he further added, “The report made by the committee to manage sewages released from community hospital has also been passed in the meeting.” A decision has been made to construct 17 senior citizen service centers within the province in the current fiscal year of 2018/19.
