‘Gandhi Today’ Concludes with Success


Kathmandu, December 2, 2018: Centre for Research and Sustainable Development Nepal (CREASION), Nepal Policy Centre (NPC) and the Gandhian Studies and Peace Centre jointly organized a symposium titled ‘Gandhi Today’ on 29 November 2018 at Nepal Administrative Staff College. The event was led by Mr. Pradeep Giri, Member of Parliament of Nepal with Hon’ble Rt. Dr Ram Baran Yadav, former President of Nepal as the Chief Guest.

Mr. Yashwant Sinha, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, India; Ambassador of India to Nepal, Mr. Manjeev Singh Puri; Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, former Prime Minister of Nepal; Mr. Bimalendra Nidhi from Nepali Congress; Mr. Ram Karki from Nepal Communist Party and Mr. Dammannath Dhungana, former Member of Parliament, Nepal were the key participants of the event.

In the event, President of Nepal Ram Baran Yadav addressed the need to improve the present current Constitution and also expressed concern about environmental degeneration in the process of development. Likewise, Professor Vandana Mishra, Advisor to CREASION and NPC expressed her thoughts and experience on Gandhian philosophy by presenting her paper on Gandhi.
