The New Year is celebrated in different places throughout the world, like a festival. The New Year for different society is different and its significance also differs among different cultures. Most countries celebrate New Year on 1st of January. But for Nepal, 1st of Baishak is celebrated as New Year Day. Every year, the old calendar shifts to new sheets and further new opportunities emerge.
The start of the New Year carries such special symbolism. The New Year comes with a fresh start, new opportunities and an exhilarating sense of rejuvenation. The celebration of the New Year reflects towards a new beginning and it teaches to move forward. Whatever we did in the old year, learned successful or unsuccessful, learning from last year to proceed with a new hope of coming year is the significance of this celebration. This way New Year’s celebration awakens new hope inside us.It is a day to celebrate, an occasion of a new beginning and it is more about letting go of the earlier bad habits and carrying the good ones. Although this can happen on any other day, a new year surely brings us with new hopes.
Today the whole world is at stake, suffering from this global pandemic. We all are navigating through uncertainty for ourselves, our loved ones and our community. It is a hard time, however we are built with hope and amidst all the negativity we want to contribute in order to stop the spread of covid-19. We are keeping social distance, let’s try to create some values, whatever possible with this new beginning. As social distancing is the need of the hour, we are mostly keeping the celebrations confined to our homes. It is the spirit of togetherness with the family that makes the New Year special. So, let’s enjoy the day with family creating memories.
We often make New Year’s resolutions as an attempt to improve ourselves, and to be better towards others. Expressing our love, gratitude, respect and appreciation to others on this day sending those wishes for New Year is a great way to share the spirit with our family, friends and co-workers.
