Indian Embassy organizing Essay and Drawing Competitions on the occasion of International Yoga Day

Kathmandu, May 21, 2017: Embassy of India is organizing Essay Competition and Drawing Competition on the occasion of ‘International Day of Yoga’ that falls on 21st June. The embassy has called for entries from interested school students for these competitions.

The essay competition is being organized for students from class 8 to Class 12, on the topic ‘Yoga: A Road to Success in Modern World’. The essays may be written in Nepali, Hindi or English. Best three essays will be selected and awarded with the Certificate of Merit and cash prizes of NPR 15,000, 12000, and 10,000 respectively. These essays will be published in the upcoming souvenir on Yoga.

Similarly, students from class 6 to Class 10 can participate in the drawing competition, and they can submit their paintings/drawings pertaining to Yoga. Best three will be awarded with the Certificates of Merit and cash prizes of NPR 10,000, 8000, and 6,000 respectively. These Paintings/drawings will also be published in the souvenir on Yoga.

Interested candidates can participate in the competition by submitting their essay/drawing with details of full name, address, school/college, phone no. and e-mail address.

To participate, clearly write on the envelope – Entry for Essay Competition/ Entry for Drawing Competition and send your Essays/Drawings to: PIC Wing, Embassy of India, Lainchaur, Kathmandu. Or, simply mail it at cpic.kathmandu@mea.gov.in
