Kathmandu, February 25, 2019: Third edition of Pinkathon, franchise running event which was set for the promotion of a healthy lifestyle of women took place on Saturday in Kathmandu. The title for the first position was claimed by the Nepal APF club’s Kanchhi Maya Koju.
Kanchhi Maya Koju finished the marathon within 1 hour 21 minutes and 44 seconds. Nepal Police club’s Rajpura Panchi finished the race in 1:24:33 meanwhile Pushpa Bhandari of APF was able to secure 3rd position by completing 21km in 1:27:30. Established runner, Koju received cash of Rs 51,000, runner up Pachhai received Rs 31,000 and Bhandari got Rs 21,000.
The 10km title was secured by Santoshi Shrestha of APF heading before Chandra Raut and Saraswati Kadayat. Top 3 winners of the event filled the bag with cash Rs 31,000, Rs 21,000 and Rs 11,000 respectively. Winner of the 5km, Samana Karki was able to receive Rs 11,000. Sanuka Thapa Won the title for the 3km race.
According to the organizer, there was the participation of more than 2,500 runners in the event.
