Kantipur Hissan Edu-Fair from today

Kathmandu, May 19, 2016: The Kantipur Hissan Edu-Fair 2016 gets under way at Bhrikutimandap on Thursday. The four-day event, jointly organised by the Kantipur Media Group and the Higher Secondary Schools’ Association Nepal (Hissan), has targeted students who are awaiting their School Leaving Certificate exam results.

The event which features around 100 domestic academic institutions aims at promoting ‘excellent education within the country’.

According to the organisers, the fair will help students find a higher secondary school of their choice. They have requested students to come along with their parents to the fair so that they can jointly take a right decision. The organisers expect around 200,000 visitors and only national schools are allowed to participate.

“The main objective of the event is to spread a message that the institutions are able to impart top notch education in Nepal,” said Lok Bahadur Bhandari, general secretary of Hissan. “The fair will help students to choose a suitable institution for higher education in an easy way as well as support the poor and meritorious students with scholarships.”
