Nagarkot festival aims to attract more tourists

Bhaktapur: The second ‘Nagarkot festival’ is to be held at Batase hill for supporting ongoing Visit Nepal Year 2020.

 

The festival’s main slogan is “Natural heritage, arts and culture, and tourism development; bases for Nagarkot progress.”

 

Chairman of the Nagarkot Naldum Tourism Development Committee, Mr.Navin Gurung said the preparations are completed for the festival to be held at Batase hill from January 24 to 26. Mr.Dhan Bahadur Lama, Vice-Chairman of the Committee, said that the festival aims to attract more tourists and the estimated cost is Rs 4.6 million.

 

The festival will feature food stalls, local agricultural products, indigenous art and culture and tourism promotion. During the festival, there will be cultural and musical performances from 13 noted singers, artists and comedians.
