Kathmandu, July 4, 2016: Popular Nepali folk-rock band Nepathya performed at the Center Stage during the inauguration of Non-Resident Nepali convention in Atlanta of the US on Saturday.
With this concert, Â one week after the one staged in Los Angeles, Â the band wrapped up its brief US tour, according to Nepalaya, which manages the Nepathya events.
To kick off the show, Nepathya performed their popular number Bhedako Oon jasto with a synchronised video and light package choreographed to create an exciting impact to the audience, according to a statement that Nepalaya released from Atlanta on Sunday.
Nepathya performed their hits Chhekyo Chhekyo, Chari Maryo and Jomsomai Bajaar maa, Salaijo, Gaun Gaun Baata Utha, Resham and Taalko Pani among others.
During the concert, front man Amrit Gurung shared travel experience within Nepal also.
“I have traveled through Nepal, and I can say you should as well. It is worth the effort. Next time you come to Nepal, I urge you to walk through the hills and the mountains,†he said.
“You are privileged to live in this affluent society [US]. But by skipping a monthly dinner, you could probably sponsor education for one child in your village,†he added.

The show ended with Nepathya’s rendition of Gopal Prasad Rimal’s song composed by Amber Gurung and sung by Phatteman and Amber Gurung –Rato ra Chandra Surya…, according to the statement.
