Kathmandu, 9 Nov 2014: The Legislature-Parliament session on Sunday has endorsed the Sexual Harassment in Workplace (Eradication) Bill, 2071 with a unanimous vote. Minister for Woman, Children and Social Welfare Nilam KC tabled a proposal calling for endorsement of the Bill in the meeting.
Minister KC presented the Bill with a report of the Parliamentary Woman, Children, Senior Citizen and Social Welfare Committee. The meeting also approved the proposal to send the Civil Code, 2071 and Civil Rules of Procedures Code, 2071 presented by Minister for Law and Justice Narhari Acharya for clause-wise discussion to the concerned committee. The meeting also endorsed the proposal for sending the Criminal Code, 2071, Criminal Offense Rules of Procedure Code, 2071, and Criminal Offense (Punishment Determination and Implementation) Bill, 2071 to the concerned committee for discussion.
During the meeting, Minister for General Administration Lalbabu Pandit presented the 52nd, 53rd and 54th annual reports of the last three years of Public Service Commission.
