Dispute In CA Much Ado About Nothing: Chairman Baidya

Kathmandu,28 Jan 2015: Chairman of the CPN-Maoist, Mohan Baidya, has termed the dispute among the political parties representing the CA was a ‘storm in teacup’.

At an interaction organized by the party on Wednesday, Chairman Baidya said the aim and direction of the agitation led by the UCPN (Maoist) was still unclear.

To the UCPN-Maoist, Chairman Baidya said, “If you really want to prove different, come to the ground. We welcome you.”

He expressed doubt that the UCPN (Maoist) would not compromise.

According to him, country’s stalemate could be resolved through all-encompassing political conference, as the CA has lost its relevance since January 22.

If the constitution was brought without every party’s consent, it would be rendered meaningless with protest, he warned.

On the occasion, Chairman of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum, Upendra Yadav, said the opposition parties were made to surrender before the ruling one, which ultimately would be fatal to the government.

Similarly, Coordinator of the Rastrabadi Forum, Rajeshwor Devkota, said the country could not get the constitution all because of the directionless leadership and ill-founded principles.

Leader of the indigenous movement, Malla K Sundar, said the machination was on to suppress the rights of the oppressed and indigenous communities.
