Nirbhaya to ‘mirror’ current Nepali society

Kathmandu, March 23, 2017: Upcoming Nepali film Nirbhaya, which is slated for release this Friday, will tell the story of the current state of the Nepali society beset by political wrangling, the producers said, during a press meet organised in Pokhara, on Tuesday.

The cast and crew of the film are currently travelling around the nation promoting the film. Speaking at the press meet in Pokhara, the film’s director, Madhusudan Bhattarai, said, “Nirbhaya, as the title hints, revolves around fearlessness of a police officer, who sets out to unmask the culprits behind social and political misconducts. It’s basically a commercial film that mirrors the current crippling political and social phenomena around the nation.”

Produced under the banner of Prasiddhi Cine Arts, Nirbhaya features Nikhil Upreti and Nita Dhungana in lead roles, along with actors Bikash Chapagain, Sushil Pokharel, and Prajjwol Giri, among others.
