December 11, 216: Well, we all know that megastar Rajinikanth is a god-like image in the South. Not only does he enjoy a massive fan-following, but he is worshipped by many of his fans. Rajinikanth has given his fans enough reasons to idolize him. His humble and down-to-earth nature makes him likable and people never tire of singing his praises.
The Thailavar, as he is fondly called, will turn 66 tomorrow ie. 12th December. To say that his birthday is nothing short of a festival in Tamil Nadu would be an understatement. However, Rajinikanth has a special request for his fans this year.
He has asked them to not celebrate his birthday this year, as a mark of respect to the former CM J Jayalalithaa.
“Rajinikanth requests his fans not to celebrate his birthday,†his manager Riaz Ahmed tweeted on Friday.
In fact, the superstar has even asked his fans to not put posters and banners as well. He wants it to be low key this year.
Last year, the Enthiran actor had a similar request. He had appealed to his fans to call off his birthday celebrations due to the grave situation caused by heavy rains in Tamil Nadu.
Don’t you just love this noble man for being so considerate?
On the work front, Rajinikanth is currently shooting for 2.0. A sequel to his superhit Enthiran, 2.0 also has Bollywood biggie, Akshay Kumar, playing a negative role.
