Kathmandu, September 19, 2017: Oscar Kneppers, Founder of Rockstart, is coming straight from the Amsterdam HQ for the first time to Nepal to meet local entrepreneurs here. Oscar will be speaking to a group of Nepali entrepreneurs amid a special program being organized in the capital on Wednesday, Sept 20, by Rockstart Impact Nepal.
Oscar Kneppers is considered a successful serial entrepreneur and a celebrated internet publisher– launching several cross-media brands since 1998 focused on new media, innovation, and technology. Oscar founded Rockstart in 2011 after selling his media businesses.
Rockstart, ‘The Global Startup Machine’, helps startups be more successful in their first 1,000 days through funding and mentorship. Since 2014, Rockstart Impact has accelerated 29 companies from which 21 have secured investment pledges raising over 3 million Euros in funding.
Rockstart Impact Nepal is a program based on Rockstart’s successful business acceleration principles, designed to support Nepali entrepreneurs in growing their companies and raising investment. It is a 100-day program, that makes a selected group of high potential Nepali Companies investment ready. During the program, participants receive intensive coaching from experienced local and international entrepreneurs and experts.
The event on Sept 20 will be an opportunity to meet and interact with not only the founder but also investors, mentors, and alumni involved at Rockstart.
