Kathmandu, July 16, 2017: Plant for the Planet, a non-governmental organization working on environmental issues, organized a program at ‘ICIMOD Knowledge Park’, Godavari.
A total of 42 students (aged 10-12 years) from 5 different schools attended the program.
The event focused on awaring the children about climate change and connecting them with an international youth and children network where they can get a platform to raise their collective voice against the common cause.
Each of the participants were handed a ‘Plant for the Planet’ t-shirt and a book.
In the program, the participants discussed solutions for climate change and learned the importance of plantation through various interactive sessions. They also sat on a training on leadership. The program concluded by certifying the children as ‘Climate Justice Ambassadors’.
