Jhapa, January 6, 2017: Ultra Marathon runner Mira Rai has been felicitated with 28 lakh rupees amidst a programme organized in Damak on Thursday.
Successful to make establish Nepal’s identity in the international ultramathon sports, around a half dozen organizations from the UK had handed over her with the cash amount.
Rai is also nominated for People’s Choice Award in the Adventurer of the Year by National Geographic.
A resident of Bhojpur, Rai is a former Maoist guerilla, who had chosen athletics after getting disqualified from the Comprehensive Peace Accord.
