Kathmandu, August 16, 2018: United World School (UWS) successfully held its Fellowship Orientation Ceremony at Sampada Garden Resort , Lazimpat, on August 13, 2018.
UWS Nepal initiated the Teaching Fellowship Program in early 2017 which is a two year graduate placement program aimed at Nepali youth seeking experience in teaching, community action and international development. In the year 2017, UWS selected 5 exceptional fellows namely Ashish Karki ,Binata Gurung ,Dikesh Deshar, Juna Manandhar and Nirupa Kandel who have imprinted their impact stories in the UWS schools they were assigned to.
This year , UWS welcomes 3 new fellows; Amrit Dhakal, Dambar Karki and Niyatra Karki who come from different background but with the same motive. The program had a Panel discussion about ‘How to ensure Inclusive , Equitable, Quality education in the context of Nepal’ with Mr. Narottam Aryal ,Mr.Pavitra Gautam and Mr. Ram K. Rijal as the panelists and Ms. Natasha Kafle as the moderator. The Brand Ambassador of UWS , Miss Nepal Earth 2016 Roshni Khatri was also present in the event.
UWS is a charity dedicated to improving educational opportunities for the poor and marginalized children of the country. Its major objective is to construct and manage the state-of -the-art facility in community-led schools in rural areas so that the children feel safe and encouraged to study.
