Bhimduttanagar, 17th February, 2015 :Â As many as 192 people have so far registered their names for the biometric voters’ list in Kanchanpur district. A total of four centres were set up for the same.
The programme of collecting voters’ name along with photograph was begun there from Friday. The centres were set up at Yuba Primary School, Bhimduttanagar Municipality-1, the VDC building of Raikawar Bichawa VDC, the VDC building of Krishnapur VDC and the Saraswoti Higher Secondary School at Bhimduttanagar Municipality-2.
Computer Operator at the District Election Office, Kanchanpur, Prakash Bhatta, said that a total of 192 people registered their names along with photographs at the four centres.
According to the District Election Office, names of the voters along with photographs would be registered at the VDC building of Baisebichawa VDC and Dekhatbhuli VDC on Wednesday and Thursday.
District Election Officer Keshav Singh Bhandari said the office again started the task with an objective of updating the names of those people migrated from one place to another, living in foreign countries and registering their name in the voters’ list acquiring new citizenship certificates. The voters’ list updating task has been started from February 5 under the biometric voters’ list collection and updating programme-2071.
