Kathmandu,5 Feb 2015: Vice-president Parmanand Jha attended a reception hosted here this evening on the occasion of the 67th Independence Day of Sri Lanka.
Speaking on the occasion, Sri Lankan Ambassador to Nepal WM Senevirathna said Sri lanka and Nepal have expanded bilateral relations on various aspects with the signing of 13 agreements and MoUs so far.

The SAARC has brought Nepal and Sri Lanka closer to work together with other member countries for a common objective which is the well-being of the people in the region, he said while adding the successful completion of the 18th SAARC Summit in Kathmandu last year is a significant milestone for every SAARC country.
Also present at the function were Constituent Assembly Chair Subas Chandra Nembang, Ministers, CA members, former Ministers, Heads of constitutional bodies, leaders of various political parties, diplomats, high-ranking government officials, industrialists and businesspersons, Sri Lankan nationals in Nepal and senior civil society leaders and media persons.
