Kathmandu, August 8, 2016:Â SevenÂ people including pilot were killed as a Fishtail Air chopper headed forÂ Kathmandu from Gorkha crashed at Betini, Belkot VDC-8 of Nuwakot district on Monday.
“Seven people including captain Ranjan Limbu and a toddler died on the spot as the accident occurred, saidÂ Ramesh Siwakoti, Sales and Marketing Officer atÂ Fishtail Air Pvt. Ltd.
The ill-fated chopper, with Call SignÂ 9N AKA, was headedÂ forÂ Kathmandu Â from Sirdibas VDC of Â Gorkha district, carrying a pregnant woman for treatment.
The chopper was ferrying sevenÂ people includingÂ a pregnant woman to Kathmandu for treatment from Sirdibas ofÂ Gorkha.
â€œI saw plumes of smoke coming out of the accident site,â€ said an eyewitness.
Two teams of security personnel â€“ one from District Police Office, Nuwakot and the other from Armed Police Force Training Center, Kakani, have been deployed to the accident site.
