Gorkhabazar, 28 March, 2015 :Â A foreign trekker on the Manasalu route has been rescued as he was injured seriously after skidding into the Machha River.
The 44-year-old British national was airlifted from the Gumda to Kathmandu this morning, said the district police office, Gorkha, adding that he had fallen 130 meters down from the trekking route on Friday.
He was one among 11-member expedition heading to Larke Pass via Manasalu trekking route.
It takes two days’ trek to reach Machhakhola from the district headquarters. This trekking route is regarded a difficult route among the trekkers.
