Solukhumbu, 19 October 2014: A seven-member rescue team has been formed considering the influx of tourists to Khumbu with the onset of the tourist season.
The team has been formed under the convenorship of Gel Bahadur Thapa of Namche, Solukhumbu.
The team was formed to provide necessary rescue and first aid to the needy tourists in the high altitude areas, Thapa added.
Similarly, the team will provide support to the tourists at Namche and Khumjung areas.
Meanwhile, Sagarmatha Sewa Samaj Namche Solukhumbu-Kathmandu has provided Rs 11,500 to the tumor victim Salina Kahdka of Kalopul, Kathmandu for her treatment.
Khadka is receiving treatment at Grande Hospital, Kathmandu.
