Golbazaar (Siraha), 19 October 2014: A cyclist died in a road accident at Padariya-1 in Siraha district along the East-West Highway this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Shatrudhan Mahato of around 30 years old of Lahan Municipality-1, according to the District Traffic Police Office, Lahan.
Police Inspector Basudev Yadav said that the accident took place when a bus (Na 3 Kha 1563) heading towards Biratnagar from Kathmandu hit Yadav while he was crossing the road on his cycle.
He died on the way to Biratnagar from the Lahan-based Ram Kumar Sharada Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
Police have arrested the bus driver Som Lama of Hetauda Municipality-7.
