Mr. Ashutosh Tiwari is the Managing Director at SAFAL Partners, which is Nepal’s first business operations-focused investment firm. SAFAL works with small and medium companies, helping them improve operational efficiency, attract investments and drive business growth. SAFAL created a platform called SAFAL Angels which brings in Nepali professionals to invest in growth-oriented companies as angel investors and serve as Board Members and mentors.
In 2008, Mr. Tiwari co-founded Entrepreneurs for Nepal (E4N), a community-driven institution that helped kick-start Nepal’s organised entrepreneurial ecosystem. He was honoured as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2011.
Mr. Tiwari has experience in social activism, private sector work, non-profit management, media and social entrepreneurship. He was the CEO of Sherpa Adventure Gear(Nepal) and was elected as the Chairperson of the Association of International NGOs of Nepal (AIN) from 2012 to 2014. He also worked as the CEO of Himal media and was appointed as the Country Representative for WaterAid in Nepal from 2010-2014. Early in his career, Ashutosh worked for the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in Dhaka, Bangladesh and for German Technical Cooperation (GiZ) in Nepal.
