Raju Rijal, the current skipper of the Nepal Under-19 side finally replied to the ‘over-age’ allegation of
Kaustub Pawar, a former India Under-23 and current Mumbai First- Class cricketer.
Replying to this accusation Rijal said, â€I don’t have any idea about this. I am not in social media [As Pawar accused Raju via Facebook]. So I can not comment on this.†However, in the record books, there is player named, ‘Raju Ramachandra Sharma’ who played for Mumbai Under-19s in the 2004-05 and 2005-06 season and Pawar did play alongside him. Raju Sharma even captained Mumbai Under-19s in some of the Polly Umrigar Trophy matches in the 2005-06 season. But the records also show he (Raju Sharma) was born on October 18, 1990 at Ramnagar in Maharashtra. Whereas according to Rijal’s official records, he was born on September 26, 1996 at Dhangadi in Nepal. Via: CricWizz
