Butwal, Jan 21, 2016: AMUN Mr. Kismat Pachhai stated that Model United Nations conferences have been held since the 1950’s all over the world and also in popular cites of Nepal like Kathmandu and Pokhara but many students from other parts of Nepal are still unknown about it. Thus, In order to foster diplomacy and to develop good debating, Public speaking and negotiating capabilities among the youths, AMUN-2016 was conducted for the first time in Terai region of Nepal. And also he stated that AMUN will be conducted once in a year as the annual program of Apex school.
Inauguration ceremony took place by the presence of Mr. Deepak Jung dhoj Karki chief of National Human rights, sub-regional office Butwal and Mr. Tek Bahadur Thapa, District Education Officer, Rupandehi. Mr. Deepak Jung dhoj Karki was the Key note Speaker for the inauguration ceremony. The inauguration ceremony also had some inspirational speeches by the Principal Mr.Deepak Gautam and also by Secretary General Shardul Sapkota , Ishan Sharma & Nirupan Karki.
Closing ceremony of AMUN took place on 16th January 2016 with full grandeur and prize distribution ceremony. Chief Guest Mr. Tek Bahadur Thapa inaugurated the Closing cum Prize Distribution Ceremony by his inspiring speech and honoured the winners of various events of AMUN-2016 with medal and certificates. And also in the evening of 16th January delegates attended the dance party.
