Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), one of the oldest cricket club in the world will tour Nepal from 12 November. The team will be in Nepal for two weeks where they will play several matches. Similarly, MCC had announced the final squad for the tour where Leicestershire all-rounder Neil Dexter will lead the MCC team.
MCC will play total 6 games during the tour in both valley and outside the valley. They will play a two-day match and a 20-
over match against Nepal national
team. Similarly, MCC will also play with Nepal B and U19 team which recently qualified in the world cup with impressive performance.
Among the six games, five games will be played in Kathmandu whereas the remaining one match will be played in Pokhara against Pokhara CC which will be of 50 overs.
John Stephenson said: “MCC have been touring overseas for many years
but I think this is one of the most important in the Club’s history.
“Cricket’s popularity in Nepal has been growing significantly in recent
years, and after the trauma the country has been through this year, the sport has become a relief to many
local people. “It is fantastic that MCC is able to contribute towards that and I am confident that this group of players will be excellent ambassadors both
for the Club and English cricket.” Posted lords.org in their official site.
