Kathmandu, February 4, 2018: British Council Nepal in coalition with Women of the World (WOW) is set to organize the second edition of ‘Women of the World Kathmandu 2018’ (WOWKTM 2018) on February 17, 2018, at the Institute of Engineering (IOE) – Pulchowk Campus.

Women of the World Festival (WOW) is a global movement that convenes festival of talks, debates, performances, activism, workshops, food, music, exhibitions, mentoring and more. It is a place where hundreds of women’s stories can be shared, feelings can be vented and minds are influenced. WOW is for everyone, bold and broad-based in approach, both lively and serious and it brings speakers and audiences from all corners of society. The global WOW movement has let female voices to become immensely powerful as a force for positive change.

WOW, officially launched in 2011 at London’s Southbank Centre, was founded by Jude Kelly. The WOW movement is now in over 20 cities across 5 continents including Karachi in Pakistan, Finland, New York, Baltimore in the USA, across the UK, Australia and Hargeysa, Somaliland.
