Lack of financial stability must not be a barrier for potential dreams.

Kathmandu, July 17, 2017: Build Your Business, an idea-promoting event initiated by Atharva, a for-profit organization that envisions promoting entrepreneurship and diversification in Nepali economic and commerce, has called for participation from aspiring entrepreneurs who wish to turn their startups or prototypes into business.

Any participant, irrespective of age, with a unique business idea, or who has already initiated a startup, can come forward and share it with panelists and other individual/groups.

After a series of vigorous rounds of selection and evaluation, the quality idea-holders will be presented before Venture Capitalists, where the best startup ideas and prototypes will get funded and supported by the investors for running and developing the enterprise. The program will see renowned investors including Rajan Shakya, CEO at KGH Group of Hotels, Kavi Raj Joshi, Founder and Managing Director at M&S Next, Ananta Saurabh, CEO at M&S WorkXpro, Abhaya Paudel, CEO at Biz Serve, and Bibhusan Bista, CEO at Young Innovations Pvt. Ltd.

“We want to act as a bridge between startups, prototypes and investments. We believe that lack of financial stability must not be a barrier for potential dreams. Our major goal is to create a platform for future entrepreneurs of our country by providing them capital and a venture capitalist supportive enough to turn their startups into a business,” shares Swochchhanda Pandey, Executive Director at Atharva.

The event will be followed by a gala night and award ceremony where top CEOs, businessmen, entrepreneurs, and students will come on the same platform to witness potential startup ideas or prototypes. “The presented startup ideas will be broadcasted via various media so they will get enough exposure, attracting other investors as well. The specialty of our event is we encourage social and non-profit entrepreneurs along with business entrepreneurs as some of our investors are philanthropists,” added Pandey.

The evaluation of the participants will start from July 29 and the event is slated for August 4-5, 2017. Quite optimistic about the outcomes of this program, Pandey mentions that they will come up with next edition of the program in the future at regular intervals.
