Kathmandu, August 21, 2015:Â H-HELP (Helping Hand an Effort to Lift People) organized a charity show in Kathmandu Engineering College, Kalimati. The charity show was aimed at raising funds for the students of Rakta Kali Primary School, Thakarpa -1, Sindhupalchowk.
The event had more than 800 audience including the students, faculty members, staffs of the college and others. The Head of Departments, Faculty members and students were supportive for the event. Singing, dancing, carry catcher, poem recitation and band performance were done in the event by students of different faculties of engineering.
â€œThis charity show is the third charity show organized by HHELP since its establishment in 2004.â€ informed Garima Karki, the co-ordinator of the event. She added, â€œThe fund collected from this charity show shall be donated to the students of Rakta Kali Primary School.â€ HHELP has been doing several social activities. Bhupesh Chand, the president of HHELP, said, â€œH-HELP has donated fifteen thousand to the acid-attack victims, collected clothes and stationery items, organized blood donation campaign and this charity show in 2015.â€
â€œWe were able to successfully complete this charity show; thanks to our club members, volunteers, college administration, sponsors and everyone who supported us.â€ said Durgesh Pradhan, the vice-president of HHELP, who was also the host of the event. Jagdamba Cement was the title sponsor of the event.
