Kathmandu, May 15 : EmpowHER embarked on a new journey this May 10 with the selection interview for EmpowHER 2018 with the theme ‘Young Women Crossing the LIne’. The event was conducted on Saturday through which 20 young women were selected.
The interview process consisted of one-on-one interview of the candidates with the Advising Committee members followed by group activities. The committee consisted of Avinash Jha; the education and fellowship director at United World Schools, Kamal Keshari Tuladhar; President of Association of St. Mary’s Alumnae Nepal (ASMAN) and Director of Bluebird Mall, Nikita Acharya; CEO and Founder of Urban Girl, Sharu Joshi Shrestha; Gender and Development Specialist, Deepak Sapkota; Executive Director of Karuna Foundation as well as Chhiring Yangjum Sherpa; EmpowHER Co-Lead of Ujyalo Foundation.
EmpowHER, a leadership and idea incubation institute by Ujyalo Foundation has been held every year since 2015, and has seen 58 young women come and build their identity and dreams together. This year’s EmpowHER also aims to help more young women to cross the line.
