Communication skills, usually dubbed as the ‘soft skills’, are the most essential skills one needs to have in order to survive and progress in today’s world.

Thus, to promote the culture of public speaking and presentation among the students, Empowerment Academy is organizing the first ever National Speaking Championship this November.

“Public speaking and presentation skills are considered as the integral communication skills that learners of the 21st century are expected to develop during their college days,” says Umes Shrestha, the Right Brain of Empowerment Academy, “And it is also very important in order to increase their chances during their college placement, higher studies, and even entrepreneurial undertakings.”

“These skills, especially the speaking and presentation skills, are even more important for the students to share their ideas, persuade others, and make an impact in the society,” adds Abhisekh Maskey, the Left Brain of Empowerment Academy.

The competition will be held on the themes: Sustainable Development Goals, Education, Culture, Collaboration, and Critical Thinking and will progress through workshop/training round, preliminary round (speaking), advanced round (presentation + speaking) and the Championship Round.

The winner of the championship will be awarded with a grand prize of Rs. 75,000 while the runner up will bag Rs. 25,000.
