Filmmaking workshop with Nischal Basnet kicks off

Kathmandu, December 30, 2016: With the motive of enhancing the filmmaking skills of youths, and bridge the gap between academic learning and market demand, Glocal After School (GAS) has officially kick-started its film-making workshop on Thursday at the King’s College premises in Bijulibazar. The workshop is being delivered by Nischal Basnet, one of the most renowned actor and director in Nepali movie industry.

Among the various courses offered by GAS, filmmaking is a short term course that is designed for learners who wish to study the craft of filmmaking in an intensive environment. The course offers focused learning, hands-on film productions and the opportunity to make a fully realized final film. The credit hour of the course is 12 hours and will be delivered over a duration of two weeks.

In the course, the participants can learn film-making by practically going to the field. They will also get an exclusive chance to meet and get lessons from filmmakers, actors, cinematographers and other professionals in the industry.

A total of twelve participants have been participating in the workshop.
