India provides assistance for school building construction in Sarlahi

Kathmandu, December 27, 2016: India has approved a financial assistance of NRs. 10 million for school building construction in Sarlahi district.

On December 26, Gyanveer Singh, Second Secretary in the Embassy of India, Kathmandu, Jagannath Pant, Local Development Officer, Sarlahi and Badri Narayan Mishra, Principal, Shree Bal Govinda Janta Higher Secondary School signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) for construction of the school building for Bal Govinda Janta Higher Secondary School located at Pipariya -7 in Sarlahi.

The school was formerly established as a primary school and was upgraded to the level of Secondary School in 1996. Around 1000 students are currently studying in the school. The new infrastructure seeks to motivate the students receiving education in the school and contribute to the development of education facilities in the district.
