Falebas (Parbat), Aug. 28: Power production of the Lower Modi khola-1 Hydropower Project has stopped since Wednesday morning after landslides buried the tunnel.
The production was stopped due to the landslide in Kusma municipality-12 triggered by heaving downpour since the past three days. The project in Chuwa of Parbat was producing 10 MW of power.
The sub-station of the project is based at Patichaur of the district. It is run by the United Modi Hydropower Limited.
Power production will resume only after the debris is cleared from the site of the landslip, according to the Project sources.
