Mechi-Mahakali Cycle Tour For New Constitution


Parasi, Dec 12: Two youths of Nawalparasi have completed the Mechi-Mahakali cycle tour organized to exert pressure for a timely new constitution.

The cycle tour by Tirtha Raj Pangeni and Kamal Neupane of Ramnagar, Nawalparasi had begun on November 28.

The tour that began from Mechi concluded upon reaching the Nepal-India border pillar number 7 in Mahakali, according to cyclist Neupane.

During the 14-day tour, the cyclists covered 1065 kilometers spreading over 23 districts.

The tour was organized with the objective of exerting pressure on the party leaders to promulgate the new constitution on time as per the wish of the general public, the youths said.
