Nepal jump 5 positions up in FIFA ranking

Kathmandu, November 25, 2016: Nepal jumped five positions up in the latest FIFA ranking released on Thursday.

Nepal have been placed at the 181st position with 90 points (89.92). Nepal are between St Lucia (180th position with 95 points) and Malta (182nd position with 85 points).

Last month, Nepal had won the AFC Solidarity Cup.

Of the four matches played for the Cup, Nepal had won two games while the two games had ended in draws.

Nepal were ranked at the 186th position in the October ranking.

Among the South Asian nations, India secured 137th position with 216 points (216.34), Afghanistan stood at 147th position with 189th points (189.17), the Maldives stood at 154th position with 165 points (165.25) and Bhutan were ranked 176th with 103 points (102.71) points.

All these countries are above Nepal, in the ranking.

Below Nepal, Bangladesh secured 183rd position with 84 points (83.99).
