Nepal Telecom users can now browse More than 600 Government websites free of cost

Kathmandu, April 26, 2017: Nepal Telecom (NT) users can now surf more than 600 Nepal Government websites Free of Charge.

The state-owned telecommunication service provider made arrangements for the operation of the government websites (gov.np domain) free of cost in its GSM mobile services.

The company shared information about this amidst a press meet here in Kathmandu on Tuesday. On the occasion, NT Managing Director Kamini Rajbhandari mentioned that this facility will help bring the government information to the access of the general public.

Nepal Telecom has also successfully launched the 3G internet service in the Rara Lake area, the major tourist destination in Mugu district. With the availability of the service in that area, we can expect the promotion of local tourism with people’s increased access to information and communication.

Facebook banned during office hours

According to company spokesperson Pratibha Baidya, the company has banned its employees from using Facebook during office hours from April 14.
