Nepal Youth Council to organize program on ‘Localization of SDG’s and Youths’ in Province 5

Kathmandu, January 25, 2018:  With the motto of ‘Decentralization of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s)’, Nepal Youth Council (NYC) in collaboration with UNDP Nepal is organizing ‘Localization of SDG’s and Youths’ on 3 February, 2018 at Hotel Pauwa, Children Park, Siddhartanagar Municipality 6, Rupandehi.

The critical strategy of the program depends on including poverty alleviation, democratic governance and peacebuilding, climate change and disaster risk, and economic inequality.

Previously organized in Province 4, NYC aims to bring this program into every province in Nepal. Saroj Baniya, the President of NYC; Renaud Meyer, the country director of UNDP Nepal; Bisam Gyawali, Youth Program Officer at UNDP Nepal and focal persons Tika Ram Khanal, Monika Ranabhat, Bhim Bahadur Raut, Basanti Sapkota and Narendra Bista will be opining in each of the convention organized in different provinces.

In order to strengthen the development of youth personality, entrepreneurship, leadership, self- confidence through various skill development training, NYC is working actively for a long time. Similarly, UNDP is working to accelerate the development of plans for achieving the SDGs in various countries. It believes in achieving the SDG required the partnership of governments, the private sector, civil society and citizens alike to make sure that people leave a better planet for future generations.
