NEPALESE LIVING IN MALAYSIA COLLECTED FUND FOR LANDSLIDES AND FLOOD VICTIMS

Khotang, Aug. 10: Nepal Muktak Prathisthan, Malaysia chapter, has started collecting fund for landslides and floods victims of Sindhupalchowk district.

A committee formed under the coordination of Treasurer of Prathisthan, Malaysia chapter, Arjun Kafle, has collected Rs 64,890 so far.

The committee has collected the fund from 37 Nepalese, living in Malaysia, and a Bangladeshi, among others, said Chisang Sherpa of Khotang from Malaysia.

The fund was collected from the cities, where there is majority of Nepalese, including Penang, and Johor Bahru, according to the committee.

Preparation was underway to provide the relief amount, collected in Malaysia, to the landslides and floods affected people through the central office of the Prathisthan, said chapter member, Deep Darshan.

According to the chapter, it will give continuity to the fund collecting works for a few more days.
