Nepalgunj Gold Cup slated to happen from March 9

Nepalgunj, February 15, 2015: Banke District Football Association (BDFA) is all set to host the Second Tuborg Nepalgunj Gold Cup Football Tournament. And, preparations are almost completed for the competition that will take place at the Nepalgunj Stadium from March 9.

Organizing the press-meet on Tuesday, the organizers informed that the tournament will feature seven domestic clubs and one from India. According to BDFA’s President Bhojraj Shahi, three departmental teams including Nepal Police Club, Armed Police Force, Tribhuvan Army Club alongside host Nepalgunj XI, Manang Marsyangdi Club, CMG Club Sankata and Far-Western XI are the domestic clubs taking part in the tournament. Similarly, Delhi United of India is the foreign team competing in the event.

The winner of the Gold Cup will bag a purse of Rs 500,000 while the runner-up will win Rs 251,000 along with trophies.
