Kathmandu, 30 March, 2015 : Most parts of country have witnessed rainfall from this morning caused due to effects of the westerly wind and vapour-filled wind from the Arab Sea.

According to Samir Shrestha, Meteorologist at the Meteorological Forecasting Division, this rainfall is the result of the wind from Arab Sea containing vapour and some local factors.

Meteorologist Shrestha told RSS that the rainfall is expected to cause snowfall in upper parts of the country and lightening in some other places.

“The air blown from the west has shrouded all over the country,” said meteorologist Shrestha, adding that weather is expected to be clear from Tuesday evening as the westerly wind was gradually blowing towards the east.

Although the rain poured in various places in the western belt in the country from this morning, the capital city and places in the eastern part are witnessing shower the afternoon, according to Meteorological Forecasting Division.
